Year 10 students braved the beautiful mosquito habitat, Cattai Wetlands on Friday 22 March to complete a Geography fieldwork assessment and site study.

Students were a little apprehensive at first given the number of mosquitos, however they were ready with their repellent on constant standby.  Students used their outdoor time to complete their fieldwork booklet and return for lunch at McDonalds on their way back to school.

Thank you to our HSIE teachers Mrs Tilbrook, Miss Van Wyk, Mr Solomon, Mr Miller and Mrs Davidson for your assistance on the day.  We also had assistance from MidCoast Council who led a talk about the history and value of the site.  Students completed a line drawing at the lookout of the Three Brothers and completed water testing analysis with the help of MidCoast Council, Erin Masters (Environmental Officer and Water Quality Education).  Thank you also to our learning support staff Mrs Bartolo and Miss Tran who also kindly assisted our students on the day.
