Community Kitchen
Flipping through a magazine these words caught my attention:
- "Helping others might not change the world, but it can change someone's day".
- "A helping hand costs nothing, but it can make a priceless impact on how a person feels about themselves".
Year 10 students, Hayley Ainley, Sara Harris, Marley Marriott and Evie Solomon and Mr Hutchinson certainly made an impact on the needy in our community when they volunteered at the Community Kitchen. They not only prepared, served and did endless washing up but their interaction with the people was amazing. While serving 220 meals they chatted and asked every person how they were and how they could help them. Every client left with a smile on their face. Being made to feel special even for a short time is important. Well done girls you were certainly expressing your Christianity in a practical way led by the amazing example of Mr Hutchinson.
