Principal's Report

Enrolling for Year 7 2025

Enrolments will be accepted up until 24 May 2024

Dear Parents/Carers, Students and Staff

Term 2

We have had a very busy start to Term 2 with a variety of activities and experiences for our students, including an ANZAC Day ceremony, Parent/Teacher/Student interviews for Years 7 - 10, a Diocesan Cross Country Carnival, a White Card course, Dreaming Talks for Stage 6 Religious Education students, a First Aid course, Year 7 CogAT testing, and a variety of excursions and sporting events.  My congratulations go to all students involved in these activities for the way they prepared and approached these events.

Athletics Carnival

Unfortunately, the weather at the beginning of Term 2 forced a second postponement of our school Athletics Carnival for 2024.  We are currently working with council to investigate a possible replacement date and will inform students and parents as soon as this is known.  Many thanks to the staff, particularly Mr Rowe, for the work that has gone into the planning of this carnival and the last-minute adjustments that have been made due to cancellations.

Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews

A very big thank you to the parents and students who attended our Parent/Teacher/Student interviews this year.  The evening held for Year 11 and 12 in Term 1, along with the day/evening last week for Years 7 – 10 were very well attended and gave parents and students a great opportunity to gain feedback on progress and direction for this year.

Year 7 – 10 Examination/Assessment Periods

In the coming weeks all Year 7 – 10 students will undergo a range of examinations/assessments to reflect on their learning during Semester 1.  The Year 9 and Year 10 Examination/Assessment period will run from Monday 27 May (Week 5) through to Friday 7 June (Week 7).  The Year 7 and Year 8 Examination/Assessment period will run from Monday 3 June (Week 7) through to Friday 14 June (Week 8).  Students should be receiving outlines of their tasks very soon and will need to be spending some significant time preparing for these exams/assessments.

God bless and best wishes for the weeks ahead.
