Monday, 6 May, 20 Senior Drama students and their teachers, Ms Mumford and Mrs Johnson left St Clare's at 6:30 am to attend the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese Dramafest.  This was a great opportunity funded by the diocese providing students with the opportunity to participate in various workshops.  Both Year 11 and 12 Drama students participated in the Physical Theatre workshop which explored ways in which movement can be used to create powerful performances.  Later in the day, Year 11 participated in a monologue workshop which focussed on strategies for developing a strong HSC performance.  Year 12 participated in a workshop on devising original theatre which is very timely as students are currently working on their group performance for their HSC examination. 

 

Both Ms Mumford and Mrs Johnson were very proud of the students who took the opportunity to travel to Newcastle for these workshops and represented St Clare's High School in an exemplary manner.
