Principal's Report

Dear Parents, Students and Staff

As we near the end of Term 3 for 2024, I would like to pass on my congratulations and appreciation to our students, staff, and parents for the amazing level of commitment and support that has been shown throughout this term.  The term has been focused on continued learning, with a variety of class activities, excursions, incursions, and school events complementing what is being learnt in the classroom.  While Term 3 is busy for all students it is an extremely important term for our senior students with Year 12 finishing their formal lessons and learning at school, in preparation for their upcoming Higher School Certificate examinations, and Year 11 finishing their Preliminary Certificate before embarking on their final year of school from Term 4 onwards.

Year 12 Activities

During Week 10 of this term, we will have several activities to farewell our Year 12 students.  Wednesday 25 September will be Year 12’s last day of formal lessons.  On Thursday 26 September we will begin the day with a Farewell Assembly at 10 am which will be attended by the whole school.  Following this assembly Year 12 will spend the afternoon together at Stoney Aqua Park, Telegraph Point.  On Friday 27 September Year 12 will celebrate their Graduation Mass together with parents, family and the school community, starting at 10 am.  At the conclusion of Mass, parents, students and staff will join for a special morning tea.  The final activity for Year 12 will be a Netball challenge between male and female students.

I would like to wish all Year 12 students the very best for their last days of formal education at St Clare’s and hope that the ceremonies and activities organised by the school add to the excitement and the celebrations for these students. I would also like to congratulate and thank the parents of our Year 12 students and the staff of St Clare’s for all that they have done to help our Year 12 students achieve the milestone of completing their formal study for the Higher School Certificate.

Most of the hard work is now left up to the students as they prepare themselves for their HSC examinations which begin on Tuesday 15 October.

End of Term 3

Our final day of classes for students for Term 3 will be Friday 27 September.  Classes will run as normal through to the end of Period 6 on this day and we have the expectation that all students are in attendance right through to this time.  We hope all students and their families have a very enjoyable and safe holiday break.

Beginning of Term 4

Term 4 begins for all students on Monday 14 October.
