Principal's Report
Dear Parents, Students and Staff
Advent is coming
This coming Sunday, 24 November, we celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the King. The Feast of Christ the King is, as Catholic feasts go, a relatively recent one. It was established by Pope Pius XI in 1925, to remind Catholics (and the world generally) that Jesus Christ is Lord of the Universe, both as God and as Man. This feast also draws to a close the Church year. The following Sunday, 1 December is the first Sunday of Advent and the beginning of a new liturgical year. As such it invites us to new beginnings, to revitalisation and renewal in our faith and in our spiritual life. It is a time of preparation for the birth of Jesus at Christmas.
Year 12 Graduation Presentation and Dinner
In a little under a month’s time the final results for the 2024 HSC will be revealed. The Year 12 cohort of 2024 have been a wonderful group of students and the celebration at their Graduation Presentation and Dinner last Friday night was a truly fitting way to farewell these students. We wish them well for their future and thank them for their many contributions to our school over the past six years.
