Year 11 Food Technology
Year 11 Food Technology students have been exploring food science fundamentals.
Last week they experimented with sourdough making a class 'starter' named Gloria.
They then used an existing starter to trial a bacon, cheese and jalapeño loaded bread cooked in a Dutch oven.
A second attempt was made in an electric bread maker.
The results of the Dutch oven bread were much more popular and a nicer consistency.
Year 10 Hospitality students have started off this week learning different precision cuts practicing their specific cuts including Julienne, Jardiniere, Chiffonade and Brunoise.
