On Saturday 19 July 2025, West Tamworth Leagues Club saw St Clare’s Taree (SCT) ex-students join the celebrations of 60 years of the Tamworth Netball Association (TNA). 

Bella Rasche (SCT Class of 2015) is the TNA Sponsorship Coordinator and organiser of the TNA 60^th Anniversary Ball to celebrate this milestone.  Bella, who lives in Tamworth, is a teacher at St Michael’s Primary School in nearby Manilla (47 km away).  Her older sister, Alex (SCT Class of 2007) also lives in Tamworth and is a teacher at St Edward’s Primary School in South Tamworth. 

While at St Clare’s, both excelled academically, socially and in the sports of netball and touch – both are still playing A grade netball within the TNA.

President of TNA for the past seven years has been Bec McKenzie (SCT School Captain - Class of 1991).  On graduating from St Clare’s, Bec obtained a nursing degree from the Australian Catholic University in North Sydney.  She then joined the NSW Police in 1996 serving 12 years at Sydney City Central.  In 2009, Bec moved to Tamworth Police Station and still works there as a detective. 

St Clare’s teacher (fulltime 2004-2017/casual teacher 2018-present), Ian Evans, and his wife, Annie, were heavily involved in TNA (1975-2003) and were invited to the celebrations.
