Saint Carlo - The Patron Saint of Teenagers and Technology
This week marked a momentous occasion in the life of the Catholic Church with the canonisation of Carlo Acutis, the first millennial to be declared a saint. Born in 1991 and passing away at just 15 years of age, Carlo was known for his deep devotion to the Eucharist and his use of technology to spread the faith - earning him the nickname “God’s influencer.” His canonisation by Pope Leo XIV on 7 September in St Peter’s Square is a powerful reminder to young people that holiness is not reserved for the past but is a living call for every generation. Carlo’s life, filled with compassion, joy, and digital evangelisation, inspires us all to live with purpose and faith in today’s world.
RUOK Day
On Thursday we recognised RUOK day. Staff and students were encouraged to wear a yellow accessory and reminded to check in on those around us. Our RAKU Warriors, under the direction of Mrs Laurie created a banner to display and lollipops were distributed by our Senior Leaders to all students during recess. Thank you to Mrs Lovern for her coordination of the day.

Year 11 Exams
As we wrap up this week, we extend our best wishes to our Year 11 students as they undertake their end-of-preliminary exams - may your efforts be rewarded and your confidence grow as you take this important step forward in your Stage 6 learning journey.
