Year 12 Retreat
The Year 12 Senior Retreat was a wonderful experience for all involved. The students gained a positive perspective of working and supporting each other as a group, and were offered great information around relationships, post-school directions and spirituality. The staff who attended were generous in their encouragement and offer of ongoing support for the group. The presence of Fr George from Taree-Wingham Parish and Fr Greg from Forster-Tuncurry Parish was fantastic for us all, and we thank them for their generosity. For myself, it was an opportunity to spend time with an exceptional group of young people, and sharing my story and reflections around their relationship with God was a privilege. The Year 12 students are a very special and spiritual group, and I thank them for their friendship.
The senior retreat was an amazing opportunity for our year group to take a break from our overwhelming amount of schoolwork and get to know each other in a personal and bonding way. There were many games organised my Mrs Ryan and special opportunities to get to know each other that made a world of difference to our 'togetherness'. We can all say that we have made friends with people we thought we already knew everything about and have learnt more about our already strong friendships. There were also many opportunities for the students to decide what we wanted to do, and the things we wanted to focus on. Our whole peer group and the entire leadership team are all extremely grateful for this camp and for Mrs Ryan for organising it. Edie Gillis
