Community Kitchen
Pope Francis gives us inspiration with his words and as a school community we can sometimes, in our busy lives, forget that others are less fortunate than us. He said “A little bit of mercy makes the world less cold and more just” and that we need to “Find new ways to spread the word of God to every corner of the world.” Once again St Clare’s is answering the needs of the local community with their involvement with the community kitchen. The students prepared and served very nutritious meals for the homeless and marginalised in our community. The friendly, smiling faces and caring conversations of the students and staff added a ray of sunshine to the peoples’ lives as they collected their meals. The popular question among the clients now is “When are the students coming back?” Well done St Clare’s staff and students, it was a pleasure to work with you.
