Over the past four weeks Ms Hogan’s Year 9 Physical Activity and Sports Studies Class have been participating in a coaching program with Year 2 and 3 students from St Joseph’s Primary School, Taree.  The Year 9 coaches have been studying the skills required to teach young people a variety of sports and how to have fun through physical activity.  The students have been planning and evaluating their session each week.  The coaches were able to develop positive relationships with the younger students and they all accepted their responsibilities at an extremely high level.  On the final session, Tuesday 15 June, the Year 9 coaches conducted a small presentation and the Year 2 and 3 students were awarded with a special certificate for taking part in the program.  A special thank you to Mrs Lisa Bourke and all of the Year 2 and 3 teachers for allowing us to take part in this program.
