Youth Mass
Sunday, 8 August 2021 was the latest Youth Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Church - The Feast day of Mary MacKillop - Mary of the Cross.
Thank you to all who attended especially our singers Cornell Estibeiro, Makayla Boere and Amalyn (From St Joseph's Taree) and our musicians Wen LimSchneider (Piano) Mr Dave Hutchison (Guitar), Mrs Jenny McKendry (Violin) and our wonderful conductor, violinist and organiser of the music Mrs Carmel Brown. Thank you also to our readers, Ailey Boere, Emily Boere and Annaleah Doherty and Amalyn also reading for us.

The celebration for the feast day was lovely and a great time to have a youth mass. If lockdown has ended, the next Youth Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary will be 12 September at 9:30 am. All are welcome and if you would like to take part in the Youth Mass, please see either Mrs Laura Boere or Mrs Bernadette Boere

A reading from the letter of Paul to the Ephesians
Beloved,
be kind to one another, tender-hearted,
forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.
Therefore, be imitators of God,
as beloved children,
and live in love,
as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us,
a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ. Ephesians 5:21(NRSV)
The words that caught my eye and tugged at my heart: ‘beloved’, ‘tender-hearted’ and ‘a fragrant offering’. I must need to hear them this week. There’s an incredible beauty in each of them. Perhaps it’s to do with all the anxiety and suffering for those who have the Delta variant, and that we’re in lockdown again and experiencing the loss of direction in daily life.
I hope you have a good week and that you, and your families, stay well.
