Year 12 Drama
Year 12 Drama were lucky enough to perform their HSC monologues on Monday. Even under very strict COVID performance rules including rehearsing in masks and having no audience, students still performed with enthusiasm on the day.
After rehearsing their pieces at home for the last month students were still able to create dynamic and engaging theatre. Some of the pieces included a clown that had lost his purpose, a king who was dedicated to being remembered and an upper class gentleman who just wanted to ride his Penny-farthing.
This group really pushed the elements of drama, using unique approaches to narrative building such as mixing sound effects with dialogue or enhancing their pieces with moments of theatrical magic. I am very proud of what they produced under the circumstances and the support they showed for each other on the day.
