Mother Teresa once said “Give your hands to serve and your hearts to love.”  St Clare’s students and teachers certainly answer this call by being involved in the Catholic Care Community Kitchen program.

As a volunteer at the kitchen it is pleasing to see the students back in the kitchen after COVID, preparing and serving meals to the needy of our community.  The people attending the kitchen enjoy seeing the happy faces of the students and many say it makes their day.  The latest group of students, Claire Priddle, Blake Fishwick-Rosewarn, Ved Patel and Samuel Tilley supported by Mrs Racheal Minihan and Mrs Nicole Lovern worked tirelessly, but I also think they enjoyed seeing the smiles on the faces as the people received their meals plus a few extra treats that the students gave them.  These students were a credit to their families and school.  Their culinary skills were displayed as well as their ability to leave the kitchen spotless.  Well done students and teachers, you are our volunteers of the future.
