Mother Teresa once said “Not all of us can do great things.  But we can do small things with great love.”  These words were put into a practical form by four Year 10 students accompanied by Mr Hobbes at the CatholicCare Community Kitchen.  This group of students showed their culinary skills and their ability to converse with the marginalised and needy of our community.  The people who attend the kitchen enjoy seeing the students and often will speak freely about their experiences in life.  Not only did the students have an enjoyable experience involving teamwork, but also an emotional and spiritual experience with an opportunity to understand the issues of inequality that exist in contemporary society.  Thank you Mr Hobbes and Year 10 for your contribution and your donation of Woolworths bags for the clients.  As a volunteer of CatholicCare Kitchen and past teacher at St Clare’s it is a satisfying experience to see the youth of the community involved in such a program.
