St Clare’s Laptop Purchase Scheme-Option - Portal NOW open!
St Clare’s is a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) school, where students attending are expected to have a laptop with them each day. This device needs to be charged and fully functional to assist the school in providing the best learning outcomes for your child.
Over a student’s time at St Clare’s, it is expected that a device suited to junior school (Years 7-9) would initially be purchased and then an upgraded device, more suited to a child’s elective choices, would be purchased for senior Years (10-12).
For many parents, purchasing a laptop is a daunting task with the industry full of jargon and quickly changing technologies. To assist parents/guardians, the school provides a list of minimum specifications each year.
The school has entered a partnership with a provider who offers high quality commercial grade devices backed by three-year next Business Day Warranty (including battery) and accidental damage insurance (ADP) covering three (3) claims at no excess over the 3-year contract.
Representatives of the Diocesan IT team and St Clare’s IT Team investigated numerous devices and chose devices to offer which proved the best overall product in terms of cost, serviceability, features, and support. This takes a high degree of anguish away from parents in the purchase of a laptop.
This company offers payment plans and payment schedules to suit families of varying incomes.
The link below will take you to a portal where you can investigate the offers being made for 2023.
The portal will allow for orders over the next few weeks with delivery in the first week of school 2023, allowing the payments to be spread.
Whilst this scheme is not compulsory, the quality and peace of mind this scheme offers has been noted and this has assisted teachers in best servicing your child’s needs.
