Canal to Creek Prize
Are you in Years 7 - 10 and passionate about art?
The Canal to Creek Prize is for you!
To celebrate the Transurban Public Art Program, high school students in Years 7 through to 10 are invited to create their own artwork.
The artwork is to be inspired by the 21 signature art pieces that form 'Canal to Creek'. ‘Canal to Creek’ includes 21 commissioned artworks that activate new and existing parklands between St Peters and Beverly Hills and include contemporary sculpture, artist-designed playgrounds, a writers walk, large-scale murals and immersive lighting installations.
The theme for the Canal to Creek Prize is 'Connections'. We want you to consider connections to earth, culture, history, movement and environment. There is over $15,000 in prizes to be won!
- Entries close on 4 November 2022
- Winners will be announced on 30 January 2023
The theme for this year is ‘connections’. You are encouraged to consider connections to earth, culture, history, movement and environment when creating your masterpiece.
So if you are creative and interested in submitting one of your artworks in this prize, either speak to your Visual Arts teacher or see Mrs Huett in the staffroom recess or lunch for further details.
