Year 8 Reflection Day
Recently Year 8 Students participated in their Reflection Day at Saltwater National Park. Students learnt about the cultural significance of the site. The group immersed themselves in activities including a bush walk and tour of the site led by Uncle Russell Saunders, Painting and Weaving workshops lead by Rachel Saunders and Jodie Lawler and dancing and spear throwing activities led by Jeremy Saunders and former St Clare's student Josh Wood.
Father Kevin also joined us on the day as we connected with each other and country. A very big thank you to our Ministry Coordinator, Jason Koenig for organising such a great day and preparing the best Emu, Crocodile and Kangaroo skewers that went down a treat! All of us left with a big smile on our faces, our hearts full and a new and deepened appreciation of beautiful Biripi Country. Thank you to all of the staff involved in the day: Kathy Kratz, Robin Davies, Bernadette Boere, Matthew Collier, Callam Howard, Jason Koenig, Naomi Grooteman and Racheal Minihan.
