Weaving
Recently Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from Years 7 – 11 were treated to an enjoyable cultural activity in weaving with local Biripi artist Joedie Davis Lawler. Joedie is a Biripi Artist from the Mid North Coast and she has created art for the past thirty years. Her passion began as a young child when she would sit with her grandmother Aunty Faith Saunders, enjoying listening and watching how her grandmother loved to paint.
All students worked towards producing small baskets in various forms and colours.
