From UAC
ATAR release 2022
ATARs were released at 9 am on Thursday, 15 December 2022.
December Round 2, on Thursday 22 December, is the first offer round for Year 12 students based on ATARs.
The change of preference deadline for December Round 2 is 11.59pm on Friday, 16 December.
How?
Students access their ATAR by logging in via UAC's website. They'll need their NESA Year 12 student number and UAC PIN to log in.
When students view their ATAR, they can download their official ATAR Advice Notice. It's free until Sunday, 12 March 2023: after this date they’ll need to buy it from the UAC Shop.
This year students will also be able to access and store their ATAR in a digital wallet, CredFolio, as part of UAC’s new digital credential platform. More information and registration details will be sent to students soon.
ATAR Enquiry Centre
The ATAR Enquiry Centre – 9119 5012 – will be open on the following days for students who have queries about the calculation of their ATAR:
- Thursday, 15 December – 8:30 am to 6:30 pm
- Friday, 16 December – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Saturday, 17 December - Closed
- Sunday, 18 December - Closed
- Monday, 19 December – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Tuesday, 20 December – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Student numbers and PINs
If students have forgotten their Year 12 student number, they should contact NESA/ACTBSSS or their school. If they’ve forgotten their UAC PIN, they should call UAC Customer Service on (02) 9752 0200, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday – they'll need their NESA/BSSS student number.
Students who have applied through UAC can reset their UAC PIN using the link on the application login page.
We don't reply to email requests for login details as we need to identify the sender before giving out this information.
Locking in preferences
Once students receive their ATAR they should log in to their application and review their preferences. They can only receive one offer in each offer round and unis will consider their course preferences according to the order in which they list them.
UAC advises students to put their dream course first. Even if their ATAR isn’t what they’re hoping for, it’s good to leave their first preference in place because lowest selection ranks change from year to year.
We also advise students to research the full range of courses in the field that they’re hoping to study. If they find courses that have previously had lower selection ranks than their dream course, they can add them to the bottom of their list of preferences. This way, if they miss out on their dream course, they'll have a good chance of getting an offer to something similar.
Offers
The most important offer rounds for Year 12 students are:
- December Round 2 – Thursday, 22 December (first offer round for Year 12 students based on ATARs)
- January Round 1 – Thursday, 12 January 2023 (offers based on ATARs and IB results)
Live Information Session
UAC is running a live Facebook and Insta session for students at 5:30 pm on Wednesday 14 December. UAC's General Manager, Marketing and Engagement, Kim Paino, will be talking about what students should do when the ATAR comes out, how to order their preferences, and what to do when they receive – or don’t receive – an offer. Questions can be posted beforehand in the comments or send a DM.
Dux Assembly
On 8 February we are holding our Dux Assembly. Former Year 12 students are welcome to attend and discuss their experiences with the Year 11 & 12 students. Obviously, many of you are moving away, but if you’re local at the time, GREAT!

Last Thursday, 9 December, 14 students completed their White Card course at school. Scott from Learning Live delivered the course to the students. This will mean that they can complete Work Experience in the Construction Industry and for those doing Construction at St Clare’s next year, they have now completed a mandatory component of the course. Thanks very much to Scott and to Learning Live for delivering this at St Clare’s.
It has been wonderful that St Clare’s has been included in the RIEP program this year. There have been some excellent information sessions regarding many different local Industry pathways. Thanks to Erin Lute from RIEP who has organised these for us. I am looking forward to next year’s sessions.
At the start of next year, we will run a dedicated Careers Day for the Year 12 students and hopefully they will gain a great deal from this day. They will continue to have a Careers session each week. Year 11 students will be having a Careers session every two weeks and we are looking at possibilities for Years 9 and 10. Year 7 (and hopefully Year 8) will continue with the “Become” program which was started last year. Thanks to Mr Hobbes for running these sessions.
Have a wonderful and safe Christmas break. Enjoy your time with friends and family and I look forward to seeing everyone in 2023.
