Youth Mass

Our Youth Mass is every 2nd Sunday at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Albert St Taree.  It is the usual 9:30 am Mass, however our young people take on all the different roles that parishioners usually carry out during a Mass.  The kids play and sing the music for the Mass accompanied by Mrs Jenny McKendry, they read the Readings of the day and the Prayers of Intercession, they present the gifts for preparation at the altar, and of course they alter serve and assist Father Kevin.

We are always so happy to have the kids involved and taking on these important roles in the Mass, learning and carrying on the rituals and traditions.  It makes the parishioners so happy to see them in the church and getting involved.  Thanks to our students who are part of this regular team of helpers:  Amalin Baijush, Aidan Joe Sheen, Leonel Senson, Cornell Estibeiro, Emily, Nicholas and Ailey Boere, Ava Doherty and Rufus Rowe.

Maybe this could be the Mass you commit to attending once a month with your family?  I know it gets busy and Sundays are down time, but it truly is worthwhile.  We are blessed to have such a great priest who is always so insightful and down-to-earth.  Hearing God’s Word at the beginning of our week, listening to Father Kevin’s interpretation and how he connects the reading to today’s world is a great grounding way to start the week.  It puts our busy lives into perspective and reminds us we are all children of God.  Perhaps you can follow the Mass with a nice coffee or breakfast on the way home?  We hope to see you there.

Our next Youth Mass is EASTER SUNDAY!!!  The perfect day to come along and celebrate Christ’s Resurrection.  Please see the dates below for other Holy Week Mass Times.
