Forster Gallery Young Artists’ Exhibition
On Saturday, 18 March at 4 pm, The Forster Gallery hosted the inaugural Young Artists’ Exhibition. This exhibition saw the work of Andrea Flores Cabrejos, Hannah Henderson, Adelaide Gedge, Rachel Su and Elise Zammit on display.
The opening event was very well attended with students, parents and teachers along with the MidCoast Council Mayor Claire Pontin and Local Federal Member Dr David Gillespie in attendance.
There were nine sections to enter and two awards were presented for each section, a 1st prize of $150 and a Highly Commended prize of $50.
Adelaide Gedge & Andrea Flores Cabrejos
St Clare’s students Rachel Su and Adelaide Gedge received awards in the following categories:
Adelaide Gedge won a Commended Certificate for her work Selene Watches in Section 6 The Hon Dr David Gillespie Award for Painting - Years 11-12.
Rachel Su received a Highly Commended Certificate and $50 cash prize for The Luncheon - Monet Forgery in Section 5 The Forster Tuncurry Quota Club Award for Painting - Years 9-10.


The exhibition closes this Sunday, 26 March and is open from 10 am to 1 pm daily, so if you have time this weekend, please head along for a look.
