Year 11 Business Studies
Year 11 Business Studies students prepare all term for the big Business Day where they can turn their business plan into reality. Every year the students engage in a variety of different businesses to attract customers from Year 10 and Year 11 to spend their virtual money at their businesses. This year we had the spinning wheel of fortune, balloons, darts, puzzles, cards, video games, questions and cream pie throwing. The students conduct market research into their services before running the businesses to check if they are providing a service that the customers want. After the Business Day we count the money to see who made the most sales and who won the goodwill vote. This information is then calculated for the accounting section of the business plan. The students were very excited about the day and this activity helps them with their business plan assessment task and makes their learning real. Thanks to all the staff and students who helped on the day to make it fun and an educational business experience.
