Sunday, 31 July saw 68 bright-eyed Year 9 students head south on a wonderful adventure, ready to make memories that will last a lifetime.  On Sunday night, students spent time at Questacon the National Museum of Science, Technology and Innovation and had fun exploring interactive exhibits such as the Free Fall and Earthquake Room exhibits.  On Monday, students participated in tours exploring and acknowledging the importance of Parliament House and the War Memorial.

Tuesday, saw the students first day of action on the slopes!

Many students experienced snow for the first time and had fun learning how to ski.  This year, the trip was blessed with three perfect days of weather which made skiing all that more enjoyable.  With many rides on the chairlift, T-Bar, practising their snowplough and stacks into bushes students rose to the challenge, demonstrated their resilience and determination, harnessing the skills they would need to tackle the mountain over the next three days. 

I would like to acknowledge the groups positive attitude and exemplary behaviour on the trip.  It was wonderful to hear they were supportive of each other, kind and caring towards each other and looking out for one another during the trip.  I would like to thank Mr Carney for organising such a fantastic trip and to the dedicated team of Snowy Legends who looked after Year 9 during their time away.  A huge thank you to Mrs Parvin, Mr Hanlon, Mr Collier, Mr Hart, Miss Devetak and Mrs Polson!
