Principal's Report
Dear Parents, Carers and Community Members
Welcome to Term 4. I hope you and your loved ones are fit, safe and well and our students enjoyed the downtime as we head into the final 10 weeks of learning prior to Christmas.
I am pleased to report that students and staff have commenced the term in good spirits considering the disruption caused by the break-in prior to the start of the term. I am also pleased to say final repairs will be completed shortly with the replacement of a small number of carpet tiles in the Josephite Learning Centre.
The Year 7 2024 Orientation Day was held on Tuesday, 11 October, with 144 young people from all over the region arriving nervous but with eyes wide open. The students were treated to a wonderful day of fun and learning, including classes in Art, Food tech, Drama, Woodwork, PDHPE and Science. Feedback about the day from the students and their parents has been very positive and we are looking forward to welcoming the students back later in the term at the Year 7 2024 activities day led by our current Year 10 students.
Year 12 students have commenced their HSC examinations. The students have settled well into a routine for the HSC exams. Feedback from students has been positive and the NESA exam supervisors have been pleased with the student’s attitude to the examination process and their timely arrival in readiness for each exam.
As part of the Year 12 Farewell Mass at the end of Term 3, the St Clare’s Student Leadership team for the 2024 school year was announced. All these leaders went through a rigorous selection process and have been appointed to a specific role and will play important roles in leading the wider school community and a significant role in leading and developing members of our Junior Student Representative Council.

Each of these students has shown commitment and passion for St Clare’s and all who serve our community. They will be wonderful ambassadors for St Clare’s over the next 12 months.
This week Year 11 students and teachers have been off site participating in the Senior Retreat. The Retreat offers the students an extended period to develop their connection as a cohort, set some personal goals for the next 12 months, reflect on their personal values, spiritual growth and willingness to be agents of goodness in the world. For our elected Senior Leaders for 2024, the retreat started a day earlier as they participated in our first Senior Leadership retreat, with a focus on developing their leadership skills, team building and understanding the important role they will play as leaders at St Clare’s.
‘Together with Christ we serve our community’.
Inspired by GOSPEL VALUES and the practical examples of St Mary of The Cross MacKillop and St Clare of Assisi our Mission is to…
CONNECT LEARN ASPIRE RESPECT ENGAGE
