Martin Luther King Jr said “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t walk then crawl.  But whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”  The Year 10 students at St Clare’s have certainly done that this year.  They have shown the other students in the school community and members of the wider community what seeing a need and responding to that need means in a practical way.  This week Eadie Byrne, Claire Downie, Elise Duckett and Leo Small prepared and served a nutritious meal to the marginalised in the community.  The students also bought smiles to the faces of these people.  Many of the people accessing the kitchen commented on how great it is to see young, happy and friendly faces serving them meals.  The CatholicCare volunteer who assists the students each month expressed that the 2023 Year 10 group has been exceptionally in both their work ethic and their willingness to participate.  Thank you, St Clare’s, for your involvement.
