Library Notices for 2024
St Clare’s High School is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) school and as such students are required to have their own laptop. The school acknowledges that laptops will require repair from time to time and that students will sometimes forget their laptops or forget to charge them. The library has a limited number of laptops that it can loan out to students. As of Term 1 2024 school laptops can only be loaned out to students:
- for a maximum of 2 days without a note from home, after this a note will be required.
- for 1 or more weeks with a note from home explaining why you need a laptop and for how long.
Students who require a laptop will need to collect this from the library, between 8:45 am – 9 am and need to return it to the library by 3:25 pm the same day.
If a student fails to return a laptop to the library, they run the risk of being unable to borrow in the future.
Students will need to see Mrs Minihan to borrow and return their laptops each day.
There are to be no back packs or school bags taken into the library. All students will need to store their bags outside in the bag racks. If students have their laptop in a laptop bag, they may bring this into the library.
There is to be no food or drink (excluding water) brought into the library or any library space at any time. Students need to eat and drink before they enter the library. Food means anything that you put in your mouth and eat including chewing gum which is banned at school and lollipops, sherbet, Fizz Wizz and icy poles. Drinks include, soft drink, milk drinks, energy drinks, hot chocolate, coffee, tea, juices, and any variation of these.
At this time St Clare's Library will be OPEN at the following times during 2024:
Tuesday - Before School, Recess and Lunch
Wednesday - Before School and Lunch
Thursday - Before School and Recess
Friday - Lunch
These times may change, and all times could vary from time to time, when this happens all care will be given to advertise students of any changes.
