The final edition for 2023 - Wow! Where did that go?
I am going to begin this edition with some information for Year 12 2023 Graduates.
- Your ATARS were released on Friday. Thanks to all those students who let us know how they went. There were some wonderful results as usual. Please let us know your result.
- Your access to your school email ceases Friday, 15 December. Please make sure that you have provided a personal email address to NESA, UAC or any other company that contacts you re important information that has been previously sent to your school email.
- Thanks to everyone who has returned their sign-out forms. Part of the sign-out process is also returning your library books. Many of these books are urgently needed by the Year 11 students and they are needed back ASAP. Please make this a priority. Thanks again to those who have already completed this process.

How to get your ATAR
2023 ATAR Advice Notice
2023 NSW ATARs will be released at 9 am on Thursday, 14 December. You will need your NESA Student Number and UAC Pin to log in.
2023 NSW HSC Students
ATARs are calculated for all ATAR-eligible students.
How to view your ATAR on this website:
You can access your ATAR via this website on 14 December 2023. You'll need your Year 12 student number and UAC PIN.
Your Year 12 student number: Your 8-digit student number was issued to you by NESA. If you've lost it, call NESA on 1300 13 83 23.
Your UAC PIN: Your 4-digit UAC PIN will be emailed to you on 5 April. It is different to your HSC PIN. If you lose your UAC PIN, call us on (02) 9752 0200.
When you view your ATAR you will see a list of the ATAR courses you studied, their category, and the number of units of each ATAR course that contributed to the calculation of your ATAR.
You will also be able to download and save your official ATAR Advice Notice.
If you receive an ATAR between 0.00 and 30.00, your ATAR will be recorded as ‘30 or less’. If you haven’t met the requirements of the ATAR, your ATAR will be recorded as ‘not eligible’.
How to claim your ATAR digital credential in CredFolio
CredFolio is a free digital wallet in which you can receive your ATAR as a digital credential. This means you will always have immediate access to your ATAR, wherever you are and whenever you need it.
With the CredFolio digital wallet, you can also safely store and access other digital credentials issued to you there, create personalised portfolios and share your achievements: all in one place and on your terms.
Follow these instructions to set up your CredFolio digital wallet and claim your ATAR:
- A couple of days before ATARs are released, CredFolio will send you an email inviting you to register. It will include a link to set up your account and a unique registration code. Follow the instructions to register. If you're a UAC applicant, the email will be sent to the address you enter in your application. If you're not a UAC applicant, the email will be sent to the address you registered with NESA.
- Once you have registered, you’ll be able to access your account through the CredFolio phone app (available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store). If you prefer, you can keep using the web app.
- On 14 December (ATAR release day) you will be sent an email confirming that UAC has issued your ATAR to your CredFolio wallet. Open the web or phone app and view your new credential.
On 8 February we are holding our Dux Assembly. If you think this might be you, can you tentatively write this date down. We would love you to attend to receive your award. I would also love for many of our Year 12s to be on site if you’re around as a catch-up and for you to talk to and discuss your experiences with the Year 11/12 students. Obviously, many of you are moving away, but if you’re local at the time, GREAT!
Information re Offer Rounds:
Please see the attached document regarding information about “What to do when you get an offer to university through UAC.

On Wednesday, 6 December, 22 students completed their White Card course at school. Don and Donna from Learning Live delivered the course to the students. This will mean that these students can complete Work Experience in the Construction industry and for those doing Construction at St Clare’s next year, they have now completed a mandatory component of the course. Thanks very much to Donna and Don and to Learning Live for delivering this at St Clare’s.

It has been wonderful that St Clare’s has been included in the RIEP program again this year. There have been some excellent information sessions regarding many different local Industry pathways. Thanks to Erin Lute from RIEP who has organised these for us. I am looking forward to next year’s sessions.
At the start of next year, we will run a dedicated Careers Day for the Year 12 students and hopefully they will gain a great deal from this day. They will continue to have a Careers session each week. Year 11 students will be having a Careers session every two weeks and we are looking at possibilities for Years 9 and 10. Year 7 (and hopefully Year 8) will continue with the “Become” program which was started last year. Thanks to Mr Hobbes for running these sessions.
Have a wonderful and safe Christmas break. Enjoy your time with friends and family and I look forward to seeing everyone in 2024.
